The Appollo Trio- Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Drummer Michael Schrieve; the Superman of the Hammond B3, organist Joe Doria; and hotrod guitarist Ari Zucker were caught live at Seattle’s Fremont district’s hotspot “Nectar”

Paula Maya- This sexy Indie sensation, (after just returning from her tour of Brazil) played for good friend Edd Cox at his Gold studio’s renowned Art-Walk “After Party” for the invited lucky few. She and her band blew everybody away with the power of their performance, where they were “Caught Live.” This was a great tune up for her gig the next weekend at Seattle’s world famous “Hempfest” where she played for thousands.

The Staxx Brothers- Fronted by lead singer Davin Stedman and legally blind rapper D.C. This Seattle area party/funk band mixes rap, blues, r&b, rock and a high energy stage show to get the audience on their feet and dancing. they were “Caught Live” at the Burien Strawberry Festival. This band recently rocked the house before tens of thousands at Seattle’s Bumbershoot. See their video

THE TEACHING

The Teaching- “A highly intelligent music happening” is the most apt description for this jazz trio. They were “Caught Live” on the 4th of July on the rooftop deck of Ron G. This annual event is located on the waterfront of Seattle. The Teaching were join by some of the top young jazz talent in the northwest. NOTE: This recording was done with just one microphone. Orin Henselyn & Roofless- Saxophonist Orin Henselyn (AKA the “Grooving Dutchman”) fronted this experimental jazz fusion band. Now defunct, Roofless was a local favorite. They were “Caught Live” at Czhed Media Studios annual “end of the summer party” hosted at my place out in Redmond Washington.

Daniel Azcarate- this young talented Flamenco guitarist was “Caught Live” at Edd Cox’s Gold Shoe studio (on the 5th floor of the “Western”, located at 619 Western Ave in the Pioneer Square area of downtown Seattle), before a packed house during Art-Walk. Which happens every first Thursday of the month.
