Edd Cox born in Bremerton and raised in the Pacific Northwest, can well be considered one of our area’s greatest treasure. A true renaissance man, Edd has mastered art genres such as oils, ceramics, drawing, sculpture, tapestry and the digital medium. He has been involved in a major way with the local art community for well over 2 decades. This includes his work with local youths through his involvement with area public school districts. Which spans the scope of being a leading advocate for art courses in school curriculums to teaching. In addition, his involvement with the Bellevue Art Museum led to the creation of a multimedia video studio, where he is the lead artist and an instructor.
Edd also offers courses in working in oils, for artists of differing skill levels, beginners, advanced and masters.
Edd is busy getting ready for the Seattle’s next Art walk on SEPTEMBER 4th 2008 . Edd’s studio (GOLD SHOE) is located on the 5th floor of the “Western” at 619 Western Ave in the Pioneer Square area of downtown Seattle. The “Western” as it is known in the “Local Art” scene, serves as the work/exhibition place for many major and up and coming artists in the Seattle area. Over the years, this location has become the “must visit” place for art lovers attending Seattle’s evening of art, the “Artwalk.”
